So far so good. She got to show her freakishly good hula hooping skills to the P.E. class. Apparently her P.E. teacher was equally impressed! She made her show the class how it's done and had her do a demo for some of the middle schoolers as they passed through the gym. If you haven't seen this kid hula hoop, you really should. It's remarkable. Freaky, circus people level.
Last weekend we also got her to get back on the tube at the lake. But only after she watched me and Paisley tube for a good 15 minutes. She then decided it must not be too scary.
The above pictures are Jed and Paisley. He was trying to redeem himself.
A few moments earlier....after we had conquered Jayda's fear of tubing....he slowed the boat down to drive into the shore, and well....all three of us sunk! The front of our tube went under water, as did we.
PANIC then erupted.
Most of you know, I can't swim. Jayda can't swim. Paisley can't swim.
Obviously we all had life jackets on, but it was still a rather scary few moments of me trying to hang on to BOTH of them and compose myself! I knew Jayda would freak out as soon as we surfaced the water. Paisley was just trying to get some air and didn't know how to react...as was I.
We survived. Somehow! I managed to keep ahold of both of them and Jed came back around with the boat and plucked them from the water. We'll see how anxious they are to get back on the tube next time.
Paisley stuffing her top with ice! Burr!
