Jayda has an excellent way of making our weekends more exciting.
Saturday evening around 4pm, she started curling up in a ball and complaining her stomach hurt really bad. This continued in small 3-4 minute intervals, almost contraction like for an hour or so. She was letting out screams and cries, unlike she's ever done before.
My initial reaction, "go poop." But she insisted she didn't have to. And didn't need to throw up either. When Jed came inside and she cried to him, his response, "Go poop."
This went on for another hour. I started to worry it might be her appendix or something serious. She usually gets over a tummy ache, and has never appeared to be in that much pain before. She couldn't even stand up straight, but then again, we don't call her "drama" for nothing.
About 6:30 we decided we better take her to Hettinger. The ER is the only thing open at that time. So 70 miles later, she's still doubled over in pain. The first question the doctor asks, "have you pooped?" I had to giggle a little to myself. Pooping really is the solution to a lot of problems.
They did an xray of her stomach. The results? Full of POOP. They basically said she was constipated.
By then ....8pm, her stomach pain was gone and she was ready to eat.
Glad we got to drive that far to be told she's full of crap!
The next day she did throw up twice, so there might have been more to the story. She also pooped (aren't you happy to know) and it did not appear she was constipated, but she did yell from the bathroom..."MOM, I POOPED! A LOT!"
