Our big July 4th weekend has come to an end and the regular old work week has begun. We spent a great 2 days surrounded by my side of the family at the lake. The weather was perfect for a lake day, unless of course, you have a broken leg! Paisley did just fine and we kept her on the boat as much as possible just to keep her cool. Friday night we had a great supper to celebrate my Dad's retirement. While we still don't have a table large enough for everyone, it was nice to finally have a room big enough to accommodate a large group! Having space just makes everything seem less stressful.
We are still getting settled and have a lot to finish up, but we'll get there. Hopefully by Thanksgiving or Christmas we will have some more furniture and can finish making it feel like our home! I'm really enjoying the girls having rooms with enough storage for their things. It makes keeping their rooms picked up, much easier.
It sounds as if we will have our trailer sold in the next two weeks and be able to get it moved out of there before too long.
Jayda rode back with the Batie's and is spending a week with them at my parents. I plan on going through her old room and getting room by room taken care of this week. Hopefully that works out! She passed up going to swimming lessons for two weeks, to go to Hermosa. I think she needed some time with them, alone and this was the perfect opportunity. Paisley has said a couple times that she misses her, but then she says, "At least I don't have to listen to her singing in the shower!" Goofy girl.
We are on the final count down of this full leg cast. Next Monday she will have it taken off and get a shorter, lighter cast put on! This week can't go fast enough. We are all very tired of that thing!
